I love this, it ministered to me on my journey of being transformed and renewed in Christ Jesus. Been following Christ for over 40 years, considering my age with its aches and pains, the one thing I pray is that my life would end well, whenever he has ordained it to end.
Human dignity cannot depend on productivity, independence, popularity, or political usefulness. The unborn child, the elderly woman losing her memory, the disabled neighbor, and the person we find difficult to love all bear worth that no government, institution, or majority gets to revoke.
Once we begin deciding which lives are useful enough to protect, we have already surrendered the truth that every human being is made by God and worthy of care.
