Job was the most wise person knowing God's love for him in his heart who understood the GOD's mighty presence even in times of the trials and the wickedness which gripd him and he felt helpless but chose to trust God even in midst of the harsh arguments. Job is the book where GOD's fullness is felt as a Judge and job advocating his own case. Job was filled with God's love for him and he understood God's mighty power.
We all need the same wisdom which allow us resting in God and trusting Him in every situation.
Thank you. Great image of this often puzzling book. Critics of scripture amplify the implied wager between God and Satan to "test" Job's faith by visiting disaster upon his life; making God out to be a ruthless, evil overlord whose vanity was tested by His cosmic opponent. This essay is a fresh and clear eyed assessment of the book of Job.
I've long thought that if God was capable of sarcasm, he does it in response to Job's very fair question. God tells Job something like this: "Where were you when I created the universe? He calls Job a "critic." He is a good man suffering terribly. He wants life to make sense. Israel means to "wrestle" with God. The Hebrews felt they had the right to use their brains, and when life makes no sense, they have the right to question. After the Holocaust Eli Wiesel said, do we not have the right to ask, why? The hardest question for Christian apologists to answer is why God causes or allows suffering. From Job to Wiesel much has been written but the question stubbornly remains.
Awesome π₯, I am learning to trust because I have finally learned that I don't have the answers but I know who does, praise God . Thank you for sharing what God has put in your heartπ
And the answer always is βGod says, βI am Godββ It is such a hard truth to accept until we have been completely broken and know that is all we have and all we wantβ¦Godβs grace and eternal peace π
The fact is we are like Job when we face trials and when God feels distant. We want to question Him, but the canon causes us to reflect on trusting God in His sovereignty. When our lives seem to have more valleys than mountains, we can have peace knowing that God is our firm foundation who sustains us through it all.
Iβve always loved the Book of Job, though itβs one of the hardest of the Wisdom Books to fully grasp. These verses always stuck with me: Job 12:7-10ποΈ But now ask the beast and they will teach you, and the birds of the air, and they will tell you; or speak to the Earth, and it will teach you; and the fish of the sea will explain to you, who, among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this, in whose hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind?ποΈ One can easily guess that dear Job is one of the 24 Elders.
Its amazing to me that we will someday have a perfect life when we get to heaven. I think I need prayer to have more faith that this is true. I struggle with this .

I finished Job this morning. So timely! It really hit me how good God is in all His ways. And how He carefully oversees all of creation.
