Forgiveness is not pretending the wrong never happened, and reconciliation is not the same as returning everything to the way it was. Jacob came humbly, faced the brother he had harmed, and tried to make restitution. Esau chose mercy—but both men still carried the history between them.
Grace requires courage from the one who did wrong and freedom from the one who was wounded. We can seek peace, tell the truth, and make amends. We cannot demand another person’s embrace.
Thank you for the Inspiration! Im thanking God as I go limping.
Thank you, Amen!
