We have more Christian content than any previous generation and may still have too few spiritual fathers and mothers. Information can instruct us, but it cannot replace the person who knows our name, tells us the truth, prays for us, and remains present long enough to see whether the gospel is actually changing our lives.
Funny how society is the same now as then.
Mentoring requires at least two people. One feeds, while the other is fed. Lots of times the roles reverse. A teacher learns by teaching.
Not logical but God's ways are higher ... and we are made in His image.
